In the past, the role of the girl boarding schools was to teach young ladies how to handle themselves. Nowadays, the parents that send their daughters to girl boarding schools usually have little time to spend with their children, because they have dual careers and busy lifestyles. Maybe this is the main reason why a lot of parents prefer sending their daughters to girl boarding schools in order to help them grow into intelligent and responsible young women.

One of the most common issues during the adolescence of a girl is that their main focus becomes the attraction for the opposite sex that is time consuming and that leads to neglecting grades, which can go down at a point in their education that is crucial for their future. Other factors that can harden the adjustment of girls include social pressure, male domination in some fields like math or science and sexual harassment in public schools. Some or all of these factors can suppress the natural ability of a girl and most of the time it is very difficult to catch up and recover. Girl boarding schools can be an answer for those girls who suffer from many of these issues.

There are a lot of things that a girl can learn in girl boarding schools, including learning how to make decisions and being responsible for them and it is proven that the girls coming from such communities are more independent, more confident, more disciplined more focused and successful, more so than their counterparts who study in day-schools.
