Girls face many pressures during their adolescence years and during this time, a main focus becomes attractions for the opposite sex that become all consuming, and school grades are the last thing on many a young lady's mind. Consequently, their grades go down at a moment when education is crucial to their future. Social pressures, male domination in some fields like math or science, and sexual harassment in public schools are some of the other reasons why girls find it hard to adjust. Some girls are shy and easily embarrassed, especially by boys and therefore, their natural abilities are suppressed, and after a while it becomes hard to catch up and recover. They learn to make decisions and to take responsibility for them.
