The parents will be put in a situation where their words are being challenged, in parenting teens, as their once dependent child is basically replaced with an unpredictable person who believes that they are already capable of making all decisions on their own. It is considered that parenting toddlers is just a warm up for the challenge of parenting teens. As toddler tantrums already seems so distressing to a certain point, it is good to be taken into consideration the fact that the emotional outburst of teenagers can be twice as stressful and sometimes hurtful to the point in which parents often wish their teenagers are still the same innocent kids that they once had. Also, as a child of any age brings its own set of challenges, parenting teens has its own distinctive demands. Because of the fact that you are administering control and guidance to a person who already has their own opinions in life, parenting teens is considered to be quite complicated.

Another important aspect which has to be taken into consideration is being represented by the fact that to bridge the gap between giving your child adequate space to be who or what they want to be at that moment while still maintaining boundaries to keep them safe and protected, practically represents the key in parenting teens. Even though it is a difficult responsibility in parenting teens, it is considered to be one which parents are required to take into consideration in order to nurture and at the same time protect their teens.
