What Is A Boot CampA Boot camp is a facility similar to military camps and is designed to help troubled teenagers. The main purpose of a Boot camp is to install a sense of obedience into teenagers that can't control themselves. The methods used in the programs of the camps are gentle and rely on mental and physical exercises that will make teens behave properly after a period of time. This system appeared about 30 years ago and it's very important for many countries that used to apply brutal punishments to juveniles that broke the law. Now with the help of a Boot camp, any teen in trouble can get back on track. Most of the adolescent felons that are found guilty are likely to be sentenced to a Boot camp. The period of time spend in the boot camps is set by a judge depending on the felony. This is the best option when dealing with troubled teens. Before boot camps, they would have been sent to jail with dramatic consequences. A teenager in jail would be easily influenced by criminals and a period spent behind bars would only make his behavior worst. This would only aggravate the condition of a troubled teen. Because of this reason, most countries have accepted boot camps as alternatives or basic penalty. Another advantage of sending a teen felon to a Boot camp is the existing programs of some facilities: education, counseling, games, sports and many more. All of these activities help the teens to evolve as a group and helps them as individuals. The discipline program will make the kids understand the importance of laws and will implement a good behavior in each and every one of them. Puberty is a hard time in a person's life. But everyone must get trough it. Some do it normal, but some can't get out of the constant mood changes. Ever Boot camp has an officer that is supervises that teen's evolution and decides on how he or she evolves. Sometimes the lack of interest from the parents can lead to depressions and youths may commit offences in a cry for attention. The Boot camp officer can also serve as a pattern figure for some teens. That is way some programs include activities that encourage kids to get attached to the Boot camp officer. There are many reasons that can make a teen commit a crime: family problems, cry for attention, boredom or even lack of education. That is way families are also encouraged to join sessions of counseling in hope of renewing the relationship between parents and child. Once a teenager is ready to leave the Boot camp, he will probably never come back. In most of the cases, teenagers respond very well to the programs and get accustomed with discipline. When enrolled in a Boot camp, the teenager's behavior is strictly supervised and his evolution is watched by counselors. Troubled kids need help and the best way to do it is trough the programs of boot camps. Unlike a sentence to jail, this system will help them understand where they've made mistakes and not to repeat them again. |
