Symptoms Warranting Intervention
If your teen is struggling with Depression, Substance Abuse, Authority Problems, ADHD/ADD, School Problems or Bipolar Issues, perhaps some form of intervention is necessary.
Knowing what level of intervention is best can sometimes be difficult to determine. We will leave that decision to you, but will openly provide our opinion
When to Consider a Boarding School for Your Troubled Teen
If your troubled teen is a danger to him/herself, to others, or to property, we recommend placing him/her into a safe, secure environment where proper academic, residential, and therapeutic intervention can take place. Boarding schools for troubled teens are ideal environments for such intervention. These programs are often licensed specifically as therapeutic boarding schools, though they are often licensed as residential treatment centers, therapeutic wilderness programs, and similar programs and services. Such placement can and should complement whatever intervention processes are already taking place at home.
Understand the Costs and Opportunities of Troubled Teens
The rigors of parenting a troubled teen may ultimately include the emotional and financial costs of residential care, but may also result in you saving your teen. Ultimately the decision is yours. Be certain, as you consider your options, to act quickly and wisely to prevent irreversible or unnecessary harm.
If a residential treatment center is necessary we will help you go into the process with your eyes wide open. We can educate you on the realities of both exceptional programs, and the fact that there are many which are critically substandard. If you have a therapist we will assist you and your therapist in locating a program that will work with you both, enhancing the likelihood of your teen's long-term success.

Many parents try to do the right thing by placing their teens in a residential treatment center themselves, but unwittingly "misplace" their troubled teens into programs that are not capable of truly turning them around.
